My husband has always been interested in railways and has a model railway layout When visiting a model railway shop with him I bought a half relief card model of an "ABC" cinema which took my fancy. After I had made it I decided to buy other kits to make a town using half relief models as well models of entire buildings.

I set the period, early 1960's, by reference to the film showing at the cinema, "The Music Man". The card kits will be very familiar to model railway enthusiasts being in the "Superquick" and "Metcalfe" product ranges.

The addition of street lamps, vehicles and people help to animate the scene.
